Removal and Installation

All vehicles

Disconnect the battery ground. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Remove the 3 bolts and position the degas bottle aside.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

Vehicles equipped with 6.0L engine and Hydroboost®

Remove the air cleaner. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .

All vehicles

Remove the 4 screws and position the ABS module to gain access to the electrical connector.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
Disconnect the ABS module electrical connector.
- Release the lock tab.
- Pull the connector from the module.

Vehicles with standard ABS

Lift the ABS module slightly and disconnect the ABS pump motor electrical connector.

All vehicles

Remove the ABS module.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- For vehicles with traction control and stability assist, calibrate the ABS module. Follow the diagnostic tool directions. Clear the DTCs. Carry out the self test with the brakes not applied.
