PC A in Bench Mode
The Bench Mode is used to test the functionality of the transmission electronic pressure control. During Bench Mode, the PC A solenoids can be commanded in increments of 15 psi from 0 to 90 psi and from 90 to 0 psi. The line pressure tap is used to verify output pressure from PC A and PC B by turning either one OFF while verifying the output from the other solenoid. The second pressure tap is used to verify the output from the PC C solenoid.
The OSC functions for the parameter PC A allow the technician to choose from the following options:
- PC A - activates PC A to selected values.
- 00 - sets PC A pressure to 00 psi.
- 15 - sets PC A pressure to 15 psi.
- 30 - sets PC A pressure to 30 psi.
- 45 - sets PC A pressure to 45 psi.
- 60 - sets PC A pressure to 60 psi.
- 75 - sets PC A pressure to 75 psi.
- 90 - sets PC A pressure to 90 psi.
The PC A Bench Mode should only be operated to check PRESSURE FUNCTIONALITY using an installed pressure gauge (300 psi) when:
- OSS and digital TR sensor are operational.
- No OSS and digital TR sensor DTCs are set.
- Selector lever is in the P or N position.
- Key is ON.
- Engine is running above 1,500 rpm.
The PC A Bench Mode should only be operated to complete PC A SOLENOID CIRCUIT PINPOINT TESTS when:
- OSS and digital TR sensor are operational.
- No OSS and digital TR sensor DTCs are set.
- Selector lever is in the P or N position.
- Key is ON.
- Engine is running above 1,500 rpm.
The OSC command values are:
- 00 - sets PC A pressure to 00 psi.
- 15 - sets PC A pressure to 15 psi.
- 30 - sets PC A pressure to 30 psi.
- 45 - sets PC A pressure to 45 psi.
- 60 - sets PC A pressure to 60 psi.
- 75 - sets PC A pressure to 75 psi.
- 90 - sets PC A pressure to 90 psi.
- XXX - cancels any value sent to the PCM.
- SEND - sends a value to the PCM.
