PINPOINT TEST O: U3003:62 - ABS Module

  1. O1 CHECK FOR ABS MODULE BATTERY VOLTAGE DTCS
    • Ignition ON.
    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self-Test - ABS Module.
    • Retrieve and record all ABS module DTCs.
    • Is DTC U3003:16 or U3003:17 present?
  2. O2 CHECK FOR ABS MODULE COMMUNICATION DTCS
    • Review the results of the previous ABS module self-test.
    • Is DTC U0140:00 present?
  3. O3 CHECK FOR BCM BATTERY VOLTAGE DTCS
    • Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: Self-Test - BCM.
    • Is DTC U3003:16 or U3003:17 present?
  4. O4 CHECK THE ABS MODULE VOLTAGE SUPPLY (VPWR_ABS) PID AND THE BCM BATTERY VOLTAGE PID
    • Measure and record the voltage at the battery.
    • Using a scan tool, observe the VPWR_ABS and the V_BATT PIDs.
    • Do both PIDs display within 0.2 volt of the recorded battery voltage?
    • Yes  : The condition that caused the DTC to set is not present at this time. The DTC may have been set due to excessive resistance at the battery terminals or in the HS-CAN.

INSPECT the battery terminals for dirt, corrosion and other foreign material that could cause excessive resistance. VERIFY the integrity of the module connectors and wiring. REPAIR as necessary.

Refer to SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS - Module Communication Network for additional information.

    • No  : If the ABS module VPWR_ABS PID does not display within 0.2 volt of battery voltage, GO to PINPOINT TEST A . If the BCM V_BATT PID does not display within 0.2 volt of battery voltage, REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
