Cooling Module: Removal

- Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
- Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING .
- Torque:
133 lb.in (15 Nm)
- Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler coolant control valve electrical connector.
- Detach the retainer and disconnect the coolant hose quick connect coupling.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose.
Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Disconnect the cooling fan motor electrical connector and detach the wiring retainer.
- Depress the tabs and disconnect the coolant tube.

NOTE: Some vehicles are equipped with a grille shutter assembly framework only. These vehicles will not have a grille shutter actuator or a grille shutter linkage.
Remove the active grille shutter.
Refer to: ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER .
- Loosen the clamp and disconnect the CAC hose. Torque:
44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Disconnect the vapor tube quick release coupling and disconnect the electrical connector.
- Loosen the clamp and disconnect the CAC tube. Torque:
44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Pull the lower radiator hose spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
- If equipped.
Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector.
- Both sides.
Remove the bolts. Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Both sides.
Remove the bolts and the cooling module support arm. Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Remove the bolts and the cooling module. Torque:
18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
