DTC U0428:00 indicates a concern with the steering angle information sent from the SCCM. The module reporting this DTC is not the problem module. Do not install a new PSCM as part of the repair for PSCM DTC U0428:00. When the PSCM sets this DTC power steering assist is present, but pull-drift compensation and active parking assist are disabled.

The presence of DTC U0428:00 prevents the active park assist system (if equipped) and the lane keep assist function (if equipped) from activating. If set during an active park assist or lane keeping event, the event is terminated and the system is deactivated.
