AWD Module

The AWD module is the logic module for the AWD system. The AWD module, based on engine loads and surface conditions determines the amount of torque to be transferred to the rear wheels. The PCM sends information on engine status, PTU temperature and accelerator pedal position to the AWD module. The AWD module uses data from the ABS module and other modules to determine when to engage the rear drive axles and how much torque is necessary.
