Normal Operations and Fault Conditions

For vehicles not equipped with push button start, the BCM has an internal antenna to receive the RKE transmitter signal.

For vehicles equipped with push button start, the Radio Frequency (RF) receiver has an internal antenna to receive the RKE transmitter signal.

BCM Module DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

Possible Causes 

• Remote start feature not enabled
• Passive key
• Hood ajar switch input concern
• Door ajar switch input concern
• TR input concern
• Powertrain concern

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

• Inspect the passive key for damage.
