Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Ford Mustang. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The ABS module carries out self tests during operation, the module also monitors various inputs and compares the values to what should be expected. If the values received are out of range, are not what is expected, or if any of the self tests fail, the ABS module sets a DTC.

PPT Y ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
C0001:01 TCS Control Channel "A" Valve 1: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0002:01 TCS Control Channel "A" Valve 2: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0003:01 TCS Control Channel "B" Valve 1: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0004:01 TCS Control Channel "B" Valve 2: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0010:01 Left Front Inlet Control: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0011:01 Left Front Outlet Control: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0014:01 Right Front Inlet Control: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0015:01 Right Front Outlet Control: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0018:01 Left Rear Inlet Control: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C0019:01 Left Rear Outlet Control: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C001C:01 Right Rear Inlet Control: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
C001D:01 Right Rear Outlet Control: General Electrical Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
U2007:46 Valve(s): Calibration/Parameter Memory Failure This DTC sets when the stored valve calibration checksum value or ECU calibration data does not match the recalculated checksum. This DTC also sets if the stored valve calibration data or ECU calibration data is corrupt or implausible.
U2007:62 Valve(s): Signal Compare Failure This DTC sets when the measured, average valve current is compared with a calculated, average current and the two values to not match.
U3000:46 Control Module: Calibration/Parameter Memory Failure Sets when the ABS module is unable to determine the current EPB system state; clamped, released or unknown.
U3000:47 Control Module: Watchdog/Safety Micro-Controller Failure The ABS module monitors the EPB system, a timer is incremented each time the following conditions occur; apply or release torque is requested, the torque requeste did not change from the previous request, and the actual EPB system state does not match the requested state. If the timer reaches the maximum number, this DTC is set.
U3000:48 Control Module: Supervision Software Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal hardware or software fault.
U3000:49 Control Module: Internal Electronic Failure With the ignition OFF, the ABS module must wake up when the EPB is applied. To test the system, each time the ignition is set to OFF, the ABS module sends a test pulse on the internal ignition circuit. If the test pulse is not sent back within a specified time period, this DTC is set.
