Test 62A - Illuminated Entry INOPRTVE W/ Remote Keyless Entry

section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition off. Turn courtesy lamps on by opening left door. If courtesy lamps do not light, go to TEST 21A. If courtesy lamps light, go to next step.
- Lower left front window. Close all doors. Lock left door manually. Turn ignition off and wait one minute. Using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, unlock left door. If courtesy lamps light for 30 seconds and then go off, system is operating properly. If courtesy lamps do not light, go to next step.
- Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect RKE module connector. RKE module is located behind rear seat. Close all doors and wait one minute. Go to next step.
- Connect a jumper wire between chassis ground and RKE module Blue connector terminal "H" (White wire). If courtesy lamps light, replace RKE module. If courtesy lamps do not light, repair open White wire between RKE module and body control module.
