Test 34A - EIC Switch Operation

NOTE:
Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.
- Using scan tool, read EIC TRIP switch status. If scan tool displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If scan tool does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Press and hold TRIP button. If scan tool does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If scan tool displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Release TRIP button. Read EIC US/METRIC switch status. If scan tool displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If scan tool does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Press US/METRIC button. If scan tool does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If scan tool displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Release US/METRIC button. Read EIC reset switch status. If scan tool displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If scan tool does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, go to next step.
- Press and hold RESET button. If scan tool does not display CIRCUIT CLOSED, replace EIC. If scan tool displays CIRCUIT CLOSED, system is okay.
