WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Plymouth Voyager, 1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager, 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan, 1995 Dodge Caravan, and 1995 Chrysler Town & Country. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: RKE module may be accessed by carefully prying each end of instrument panel top cover and sliding cover forward to disengage front clips.
  1. Gain access to RKE module. RKE module is located under instrument panel top cover, behind information center. Disconnect RKE module Black connector. Go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on RKE module Black connector (Pink wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of RKE module Black connector (Dark Green wire). If resistance is less than 10 ohms, repair short to ground in Dark Green wire. If resistance is more than 10 ohms, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "G" (Dark Blue wire). Using scan tool, actuate door lock relay while observing scan tool voltage. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Dark Blue wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  5. Check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "E" (Pink/Violet wire). Press door lock switch to UNLOCK position while observing scan tool voltage. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Pink/Violet wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  6. Check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "C" (Orange/Violet wire). Press door lock switch to LOCK position while observing scan tool voltage. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Orange/Violet wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace RKE module.
