Input Devices: Notes

Each sensor or switch furnishes electronic (voltage) signals to PCM. The PCM uses these input signals to control fuel flow, injector timing, cruise control, transmission shifts, EGR, TCC, cold advance and glow plug systems. Various models are equipped with different combinations of input devices. Not all devices are used on all models.
