Circuit Description
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is a thermistor that controls a monitored signal voltage to PCM. When air is cool, sensor resistance will be high and PCM will sense a high voltage signal. When air is warm, sensor resistance will be low and PCM will sense a low voltage signal.
DTC will set when the following conditions are present:
- Engine coolant temperature is less than 109°F (42.5°C).
- Intake air temperature is greater than or equal to 304°F (151°C).
- Conditions are met for 2 seconds.
