Symptoms - Navigation Systems: Notes

Important:  The following steps must be completed before using the symptom tables.

  1. Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to NAVIGATION SYSTEM DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION  .
  2. Perform the DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - NAVIGATION SYSTEM  before using the Symptom Tables in order to verify that all of the following are true:
    • There are no codes set.
    • The navigation radio can communicate with the GPS antenna.
  3. Review the NAVIGATION DIAGNOSTIC SELF-TEST FEATURES  before using the Symptoms Tables in order to verify the navigation system is receiving all the necessary inputs from the vehicle sensors.
