Display Check

Selecting "Display Check" will display the Display Check menu. The following test options can be selected:
- Color Bar Check - Color bars are displayed with the corresponding color name above each bar. The entire screen is changed to the color which is selected in the color bar check mode. These bars can be compared with the Color Bar Check in the Navigation Check to insure that no difference is found. If the colors are not correct, replace the navigation radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
- Remote Commander Check - The name of the panel switch button being depressed will be displayed. If one or more of the buttons are not working properly replace the navigation radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
- Vehicle Signal Check - The inputs from the following sensors will be displayed:
- Reverse - Reverse signal status displayed as ON when vehicle is in reverse and OFF when vehicle is not in reverse. The navigation system uses this input in conjunction with other inputs to determine the vehicles direction of travel. If this signal is not received check the Backup Lamp Switch circuit on manual transmission vehicles and the Park/Neutral Position Switch circuit on automatic transmission vehicles. - Speed - Indicates current speed of the vehicle. The navigation system uses this input in conjunction with other inputs on order to determine the vehicles position. If this input is not received check the Vehicle Speed Sensor circuit. Refer to Navigation System Schematics .
- Tail - Status of the park lamps displayed as ON/OFF. This signal is used to dim the display and access the diagnostic mode. If this signal is not received, the Diagnostic System Check and the Diagnostic Self-Test cannot be accessed. Check the Park Lamp Input circuit. Refer to Navigation System Schematics .
