Navigation Check

Selecting "Navigation Check" will display the Navigation Check menu. The following test options can be selected:
- GPS Information displays the following:
- Satellite Information and status of the satellites being captured by the GPS. The number of satellites being captured may depend on the location of the vehicle. Buildings and other large structures may limit or prohibit the reception of satellites.
- Vehicle Position data including current Latitude and Longitude displayed in degree, minute and second
- Time Data indicates date and time obtained from the GPS receiver.
- Measurement Status indicates the dimension of measurement or the status of reception.
- Vehicle Sensors displays the following:
- Reverse signal status displayed as ON when vehicle is in reverse and OFF when vehicle is not in reverse. The navigation system uses this input in conjunction with other inputs to determine the vehicles direction of travel. If this signal is not received, check the Backup Lamp Switch circuit on manual transmission vehicles and the Park/Neutral Position Switch circuit on automatic transmission vehicles. - Speed Pulse Count indicates the cumulative value of input pulse count. If this input is not received, check the Vehicle Speed Sensor circuit. Refer to Navigation System Schematics .
- Vehicle Speed in mph and km/h - The navigation system uses this input in conjunction with other inputs in order to determine the vehicles position. If this input is not received, check the Vehicle Speed Sensor circuit. Refer to Navigation System Schematics .
- Output signal of the gyro sensor voltage - The gyro is located inside the navigation radio. The navigation system uses this input in conjunction with other inputs to determine vehicle direction. If this input is not received, replace the navigation radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
- Relative bearing in degrees compared to the vehicles bearing when the ignition was turned ON.
- Color Bar Check
- Color bars are displayed with the corresponding color name above each bar.
- These bars can be compared with the Color Bar Check in the Display Check to insure that no difference is found. If the colors are not correct, replace the navigation radio. Refer to Radio Replacement in Entertainment.
- Parts Information displays the following:
- Navigation program version information
- Disc version information
