Removal & Installation: Motor/Encoder: Installation

NOTE: When performing this service procedure, make sure that the motor/encoder unit is flat against the transfer case for proper installation.
  1. Install the motor/encoder gasket.
  2. Install the motor/encoder to the transfer case.
  3. Install motor/encoder mounting bolts. See Figure. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Install the motor/encoder electrical connector. See Figure.
  5. Install the transfer case shield. See TRANSFER CASE SHIELD .
  6. Lower vehicle.
