Distance Sensing Cruise Control (DSCC) Module

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Cadillac XLR. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The adaptive cruise module (ACM) disengages cruise control for various reasons. The ACM disengage reasons are available in the scan tool for display when the ACM disengages cruise control. When a cruise control disengagement occurs, be sure to view both the DSCC data and engine control module (ECM) cruise disengagement data.

These Scan Tool Data Definitions contain a brief description of the cruise control disengage parameters available on the scan tool for display. One of the following conditions must be present in order for a disengagement parameter to be displayed:

ABS Active

The scan tool displays Yes/No. The ACM disengages adaptive cruise control (ACC) function when the ABS is active.

ABS Malfunction

The scan tool displays Yes/No. The ACM detects that the ABS system is malfunctioning.
