Component Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 GMC Acadia, 2013 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2013 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Multifunction Switch

  1. With the WASH switch in the open position, test for infinite resistance between the Accessory Voltage terminal 7 and the control terminal 6 (without N38) or terminal 8 (with N38).
    • If not the specified value, replace the multifunction switch.
  2. With the WASH switch in the closed position, test for less than 2 Ω between the Accessory Voltage terminal 7 and the control terminal 6 (without N38) or terminal 8 (with N38).
    • If greater than the specified range, replace the multifunction switch.

Washer Pump

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the washer pump.
  2. Install a 10 A fused jumper wire between the control terminal A and 12 V. Install a jumper wire between the ground terminal B and ground.
  3. Verify the washer pump is activated.
    • If the washer pump does not activate, replace the washer pump.
