Installation Procedure

  1. When installing the new fuel fill valve into the mounting plate turn the valve in the plate until the flat of the valve (1) falls into the flat of the mounting plate (2).
  2. Install the fuel fill valve into the mounting plate along with the jam nut.

  3. Tighten the jam nut (2) finger tight then 1/8th of a turn.
  4. Lubricate the O-ring with petroleum jelly or equivalent before installation.
  5. Install the fuel fill line fitting (1) to the fill valve and tighten to 35 (26 lb ft).
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (TP2 - Auxiliary Battery) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
  7. Install the tank cover. Refer to Compressed Natural Gas Tank Cover Replacement .
