Circuit/System Testing
- Disconnect the K111 Fuel Pump Power Control Module harness connector.
- Ignition OFF, and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Test for 0 V on the enable circuit terminal 2 of the fuel pump power control module.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K20 ECM.
- Test for less than 1 V between the enable circuit and ground.
- If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- If less than 1 V, replace the K20 ECM.
- Ignition ON, command the Fuel Pump Enable ON with a scan tool.
- Test for B+ on the enable circuit terminal 2 of the fuel pump power control module.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the K20 ECM.
- Test for infinite resistance between the enable circuit and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in the enable circuit end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, replace the K20 ECM.
- Replace the K111 Fuel Pump Power Control Module.
