Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON/Vehicle In Service Mode.
  2. Verify DTC U3000 is not set as Current or History.
    • If DTC U3000 is set with symptom byte 44, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, or 57 Current or History 
    1. Program the K180 Driver Monitoring System Module with the latest Calibrations, Refer to: Control Module References .
    2. Operate the vehicle under the conditions for setting the DTC.
    3. Verify the DTC does not set.
      • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
    4. All OK.
    • If DTC U3000 is set with any symptom byte, except 44, 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, or 57 
    • Go to next step: If DTC U3000 is not set 
  3. All OK


NOTE:
  • This DTC may be stored as a history DTC without affecting the operation of the control module.
  • If stored only as a history DTC and not retrieved as a current DTC, do not replace the control module.

DTC U3000 is set as a current DTC with symptom byte 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, or 57

  1. Ignition ON/Vehicle In Service Mode, engine OFF.
  2. Program the K180 Drivers Monitoring System Module.
  3. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC sets

      Replace the K180 Drivers Monitoring System Module.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
  4. All OK.

DTC U3000 is set as a current DTC with symptom byte 49

  1. Program the K180 Drivers Monitoring System Module.
  2. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC does not set

      All OK.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC sets
  3. Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF for 2 minutes.
  4. Remove the fuse that supplies power to the K180 Drivers Monitoring System Module for 10 Minutes. Re-install fuse.
  5. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC does not set

      All OK.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC sets
  6. Verify the LVDS cable is properly connected at the K180 Driver Monitoring System Module, B292 Driver Monitoring Camera, and any in-line connections, and there is no damage to the cable or connections.
    • If connection problems or cable damage is noted 

      Perform the appropriate repair or replacement to correct any issues.

    • Go to next step: If no connection problems or cable damage is noted 
  7. Replace the B292 Drivers Monitoring Camera.
  8. Verify the DTC does not set.
    • If the DTC does not set

      All OK.

    • Go to next step: If the DTC sets
  9. Replace the K180 Drivers Monitoring System Module

DTC U3000 is set as a current DTC with any symptom byte, except 49, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, or 57

  1. Replace the K180 Drivers Monitoring System Module.
