Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC)
  2. IG key "ON", Engine "ON".
  3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
  4. Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.

    Please do a test drive after erase DTC via GDS for 15 mins.

  5. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good steering column & 4WD ECU assembly check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace steering column & 4WD ECU assembly and then Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and 4WD ECU memory is not cleared yet.
    • Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
