DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Voltage range check
  1. Poor connection
  2. Open or short to battery in signal harness
  3. Open in ground harness
  4. TPS
  5. ECM
Case 1 Prerequisite condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON"
Threshold Value
  • The voltage of TPS 1 is greater than 4.9V.
  • Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to battery power supply.
Case 2 Prerequisite condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON"
  • Engine is operating state (at idle)
    • Accelerator pedal value is lower than 0.01%
  • TPS set point is less than 61.078°.
  • TPS 2 failure or TPS 1 versus TPS 2 ratio failure is detected.
Threshold Value
  • TPS 1 output voltage at idle is greater than 2.998V.
  • Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to battery power supply.
Diagnosis Time
  • 0.05 Seconds
MIL On Condition
  • 2nd Driving Cycle
