DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Case 1 Main Action
  • Characteristic line strong shift to lean
  1. Poor Connection
  2. Faulty HO2S
  3. Restricted of fuel filter in fuel pump
  4. Faulty ECM
Prerequisite Condition
  • Upstream O2 sensor operative readiness is detected.
  • Downstream O2 sensor operative readiness is detected.
  • Active test is not activated.
  • Catalyst purge after fuel cut off is not activated.
  • Engine speed is faster than 576 rpm.
  • Mass air flow is lower than 83 g/sec.
  • Exhaust gas temperature model is between 300°C (572°F) and 800° C (1472°F)
  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Upstream lambda (lean) signal voltage is greater than 1.1 and Downstream O2 signal (rich) is greater than 0.75V
Diagnosis Time
  • 5 to 100 seconds
Case 2 Main Action
  • Characteristic line middle shift to lean
Prerequisite Condition
  • Fuel cut off is not functioning.
  • Full load is not activated (Accelerator pedal value is less than 90%).
  • Catalyst overheating prevention is not activated.
  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • Lambda value is greater than 0.9 when lambda set point is equal to 0.8.
Diagnosis Time
  • 10 seconds after lambda set point shift to corresponding side
MIL On Condition
  • 3 driving cycles
