Monitor DTC status

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition switch is turned "ON".
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" button, Press "DTC Status" to check DTC information from the DTCs menu.
  4. Read "DTC Status" parameter.
  5. Record all DTCs, DTC state and freeze frame data before clearing them. Is the DTC State "Present"?

    YES 

    • Go to next procedure.

    NO 

    • This can be an intermittent fault caused by poor contact of the sensor and/or ECM connector. Or, ECM memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace the relevant component(s) as necessary, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
