DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical monitoring
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open in HO2S (B1/S2) signal circuit
  3. Open in HO2S (B1/S2) ground circuit
  4. Faulty O2S (B1/S2)
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Temperature above 620°C (1148°F) of rear oxygen sensor tip for more than 80 seconds of rear oxygen sensor heating time
Threshold Value
  • Downstream O2 Sensor element resistance is higher than 24kΩ
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuous
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
