Repair Procedures: Removal
- Release the residual pressure in fuel line. (Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the rear seat (LH). (Refer to Body - "REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Remove the fuel pump service cover (A) after loosening the mounting screws.
- Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (A).
- Remove the rear wheel guard [LH]. (Refer to Body - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")
- Push the lock pin and disconnect the integrate fuel connector (A).
- Lift the vehicle.
- Remove the propeller shaft assembly. (Refer to Driveshaft and Axle - "PROPELLER SHAFT ")
- Remove the center muffler assembly. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "MUFFLER ")
- Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A).
- Disconnect the vapor quick-connector (A).
- Disconnect the leveling quick-connector (B).
- Support the fuel tank with jack (A).
- Remove the fuel tank band (A) after loosening the mounting bolts and nuts.
- Remove the fuel tank installation bolts (B) and then loosen the fuel tank.
Tightening torque:
39.2 - 54.0 N.m (4.0 - 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb-ft)
