DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  1. Faulty FATC* power supply
  2. E-CAN "High" line open/poor contact
  3. E-CAN "Low" line open/poor contact
  4. Short circuit between E-CAN "High" line and "Low" line
  5. Faulty FATC*
Enable Condition
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Power voltage: Between 9V and 16V
  • E-CAN communication: active
Threshold Value Not Communication
  • Data: not entered
Abnormal Data
  • Data: Abnormal data entered
Diagnostic Time
  • 2.5 seconds
Mil On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles*
Driving Cycle*: DC
  • When [Ignition ON → Engine ON → Ignition ON] is executed, one driving cycle* (1DC) is completed
  • "MIL ON" means that the fault is confirmed as soon as a fault is detected during the first driving cycle* and "MIL ON" is output from the ECM*
