Repair Procedures: Removal

Perform the oil pressure characteristics backup procedure using the diagnostic tool when replacing with a new TCM.

Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Remove the engine room cover (A).

Disconnect the ECM connector (A) and TCM connector (B).

Remove the ECM & TCM bracket (A) after loosening the mounting nuts.
Tightening torque:

8.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.9 - 1.2 kgf.m, 6.5 - 8.7 lb-ft)

Remove the TCM (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:

8.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.9 - 1.2 kgf.m, 6.5 - 8.7 lb-ft)
