Variant Coding

The IEB (ESP/ESC) system is an acronym for Electronic Stability Control system. This system monitors a critical driving condition with Yaw-rate sensor, Lateral acceleration sensor and Steering angle sensor. It also stabilizes the vehicle by individual wheel braking and engine torque control through CAN communication.

Hardware-wise, there is no difference among vehicles by vehicle specification. However, they adopt different software applications to administer IEB (ESP), varying by vehicle specification. The IEB (ESP) stores the variant code value in the ECU memory which it received through CAN communication.
