  • Rationality check
  1. Poor contact of connector
  2. Engine Electronic Control Unit (ECU)
Case 1 Prerequisite Condition
  • The engine coolant temperature is greater than 158°F (70°C)
  • The difference of the intake temperature between when the ignition switch is off and when it is on is greater than 32°F (0°C)
  • The difference between the coolant temperature when the ignition switch is off and the intake temperature when the ignition switch is on is greater than 104°F (40°C)
Threshold Value
  • The engine off time is below the threshold
Case 2 Prerequisite Condition
  • The engine coolant temperature is greater than 158°F (70°C)
  • The difference of the intake temperature between when the ignition switch is off and when the ignition switch is on is less than 104°F (40°C)
  • The difference between the coolant temperature when the ignition switch is off and the intake temperature when the ignition switch is on is less than 68°F (20°C)
Threshold Value
  • The engine off time exceeds the threshold
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 msec (Once per driving cycle)
