Automatic Transmission Control System - 2.5L: E-Module: Removal
NOTE:
- When DTC for solenoid valve is ON, replace according to the following procedure:
- Automatic transmission is composed of fine components. Use special caution when assembling/disassembling to avoid any damage of the component.
- Maintain clean condition so that foreign substance does not get into the automatic transmission.
- Use a coated apron, latex gloves, and stainless tray to prevent foreign substance from getting into the transmission.
- ATF is reusable. Store it in a clean 10 liter beaker.
- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Remove the drain plug (A) and reinstall the drain plug after draining ATF totally.
Tightening torque:
22.6 - 24.5 N.m (2.3 - 2.5 kgf.m, 16.6 - 18.1 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the E-Module connector (A).
- Remove the oil pan.
- Loosen the all valve body mounting bolts except for the bolts (A) in the corner.
- Use the jack to support the oil pan.
- Loosen the bolts (A) and then removing the oil pan.
Tightening torque:
13.7 - 15.7 N.m (1.4 - 1.6 kgf.m, 10.1 - 11.6 lb-ft)
- Loosen the bolts and then removing the valve body assembly (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Work after putting the removed valve body assembly into the oil pan.
- Loosen the bolts and then E-module (A).
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
