The Active Air Flap (AAF) system is a system that is equipped with a flap that can be opened and closed between a radiator grill and a radiator to control it. By closing the flaps during high-speed driving, the air resistance of the vehicle is reduced and driving stability is improved. In addition, when the temperature inside the engine room rises and there is a possibility of overheating of the parts, the function of reducing the temperature inside the engine room by opening the flap.

The AAF system is a system that controls the amount of air entering the radiator from the front of the vehicle when driving by installing four air flaps that can be opened and closed through an actuator between the radiator grill and the radiator.

The AAF system is controlled according to the signals received by CAN communication from EMS, FATC, TCU, MCU, and LDC. When driving at high speed, the air resistance of the vehicle is reduced by closing the flaps to improve fuel efficiency and improve driving stability. When the air conditioner compressor operates, it serves to maintain the refrigerant pressure by opening the air flap, and when cold starting, it closes the air flap to shorten the engine warm-up time.
