Idle Switch

Signals ECM of closed throttle condition. The idle switch is a part of the throttle position sensor. Switch is open at any position except closed throttle. At closed throttle, switch closes, signaling ECM to reduce fuel flow through fuel cut-off relay and carburetor fuel cut-off solenoid (Spectrum) or injectors (all others).
