Intake Air Temperature Switch (Spectrum)

Switch is located in air cleaner. Switch provides intake air temperature information to ECM. When underhood temperature is low, switch is closed. When air temperature increases to greater than 32°F (0°C), switch opens, indicating a warm condition to ECM. ECM will richen air/fuel mixture when intake air temperature is low.
