Code 71, EGR Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit (CALIFORNIA Only)

Code 71 indicates that EGR gas temperature sensor has signaled the ECM of a temperature greater than or less than the calibrated range.

1. The ECM should provide 4-5 volts to the EGR gas temperature sensor.
2. The ECM provides ground for the EGR gas temperature sensor.
