Combination Switch: Removal

  1. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove lower switch panel, dash lighter panel and hood release panel.
  2. Remove lower dash trim panel. Remove upper mounting bolts from steering column. Lower steering column. Remove steering column covers.
  3. Disconnect SIR coil and combination switch wiring. Place reference mark on SIR coil and steering shaft for reassembly reference.
  4. Remove SIR coil-to-combination switch screws and remove SIR coil. See Figure . Remove combination switch retaining screws and combination switch.
