Pick-Up Coil

  1. Remove distributor cap and rotor. Unplug pick-up coil connector from distributor module. Measure resistance between terminals. See Figure . Replace pick-up coil if resistance is not as specified in PICK-UP COIL RESISTANCE table.
  2. If resistance is within specification, check pick-up coil air gap and adjust as necessary. See PICK-UP COIL AIR GAP table. Replace distributor if air gap specification cannot be obtained.
