Stator Test

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between stator leads (STEP 1 in illustration). See Fig 1 . If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace stator.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between each stator lead and stator core (STEP 2 in illustration). See Fig 1 . If continuity exists, replace stator.
