Rectifier Test
- Using an ohmmeter, check continuity, between each diode lead and upper/lower rectifier bodies (STEP 1 in illustration). See Fig 1
. Check resistance in both directions by reversing ohmmeter leads. Continuity should only exist in one direction. If continuity does not exist or exists in both directions, replace rectifier.
- Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between diode trio leads (STEP 2 in illustration). See Fig 1
. Continuity should only exist in one direction.
