Washer Pump Does Not Operate
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using test light, backprobe between washer pump connector terminal No. 2 (Blue wire) and ground. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, check for open in Blue wire between junction block No. 1 Black 16-pin connector C2 (located on front of junction block) terminal No. 2 and washer pump motor. See Fig 1
. See JUNCTION BLOCK 16-PIN CONNECTOR TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION table. If circuit is okay, replace junction block No. 1.
- Using a fused jumper wire, backprobe between washer pump side of combination switch Black 20-pin connector C1 terminal No. 8 (Blue/Yellow wire) and ground. If washer pump operates, go to next step. If washer pump does not operate, check for open in Blue/Yellow wire between washer pump and combination switch. If circuit is okay, replace washer pump.
- Using test light, backprobe between junction connector No. 1 White 6-pin connector terminal No. 3 (White/Black wire) and battery voltage. If test light illuminates, check for open in White/Black wire between combination switch and junction connector No. 1. If circuit is okay, replace combination switch. If test light does not illuminate, check for open in White/Black wire between junction connector No. 1 and ground. If circuit is okay, replace junction connector No. 1.
