Wipers Operate At Low Speed With Wiper/Washer Switch In HI Position (Models With Intermittent Wiper System)

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using voltmeter, backprobe between wiper motor connector terminal No. 2 (Blue/Orange wire) and ground. Set wiper/washer switch to HI position. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace wiper motor.
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect combination switch Black 20-pin connector and wiper motor connector. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between combination switch Black 20-pin harness connector terminal No. 13 (Blue/Orange wire) and wiper motor harness connector terminal No. 2 (Blue/Orange wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace combination switch. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check for open in Blue/Orange wire between combination switch and wiper motor. If circuit is okay, replace wiper motor.
