Abs Indicator Light

ABS indicator light will come on for 2 seconds (bulb check) when ignition is turned on and come on again for 2 seconds when engine is started. If ABS system problem is detected, ABS indicator light will turn on. Even if ABS system is okay, ABS indicator light may come on if there is a signal disturbance, vehicle goes into a spin, only drive wheels rotate or ABS continues to operate for a long time. When ABS indicator light is turned on, ABS system is turned off.

For DTCs 61 and 62, ABS indicator light will turn off automatically when system returns to normal operation. For DTCs 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 22, 23, 24, 51, 52 and 53, ABS indicator light will turn off if ignition switch has been cycled from off to on, vehicle is driven again and ABS control unit determines that ABS system is okay.
