Input Tests: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Honda Civic, 1999 Honda Civic, 1998 Honda Civic, 1997 Honda Civic, and 1996 Honda Civic. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Remove the drivers dashboard lower cover and knee bolster. Disconnect the 10P connector from the integrated control unit. See Figure . Remove the integrated control unit from the under-dash fuse/relay box. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system. If all the terminals are OK, make the following input test at the connector and the fuse/relay box socket. If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system. If all the input tests prove OK, the control unit must be faulty, replace it.
