Driver's Power Seat Motor Test

NOTE: SRS components are located in the area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES before doing repairs or servicing.

Remove the driver's seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
Disconnect the 6P and 8P connectors from each power seat motor.

Test each motor by connecting power and ground according to the tables below. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.

If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace the appropriate motor.

Slide motor (see FRONT SEAT SLIDE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
Front up-down motor (see FRONT SEAT RECLINE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
Rear up-down motor (see FRONT SEAT SLIDE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
Recline motor (see FRONT SEAT RECLINE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )

NOTE: The front and rear up-down motors are part of the seat frame (see FRONT SEAT FRAME REPLACEMENT ).
