Driver's Power Seat Motor Test
NOTE:
SRS components are located in the area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX
), and precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES
before doing repairs or servicing.
- Remove the driver's seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the 6P and 8P connectors from each power seat motor.
- Test each motor by connecting power and ground according to the tables below. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately.
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace the appropriate motor.
- Slide motor (see FRONT SEAT SLIDE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
- Front up-down motor (see FRONT SEAT RECLINE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
- Rear up-down motor (see FRONT SEAT SLIDE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
- Recline motor (see FRONT SEAT RECLINE MOTOR REPLACEMENT )
