DTC B1130: Front Passenger's Power Window Motor A-Phase Pulse Signal Input Error; DTC B1131: Front Passenger's Power Window Motor B-Phase Pulse Signal Input Error
- If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).
- Make sure you reset the power window control unit (see Resetting the Power Window Control Unit ) whenever you replace or substitute any power window parts.
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
- Open and close the front passenger's power window by using the front passenger's power window switch manually.
Does the window motor operate?
YES -Go to step 4.
NO -Test the front passenger's power window motor (see FRONT PASSENGER'S POWER WINDOW MOTOR TEST ). If the motor tests OK, go to step 4.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B1130 and/or B1131 indicated?
YES -Go to step 5.
NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the front passenger's power window switch and the passenger's power window motor.
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect the front passenger's power window switch 37P connector.
- Disconnect the front passenger's power window motor 6P connector.
- Check for continuity between the front passenger's power window switch 37P connector terminals and front passenger's power window motor 6P connector terminals as shown:CONNECTOR TERMINAL REFERENCE CHART

Is there continuity?
YES -Go to step 9.
NO -Repair an open or high resistance in the wire between the front passenger's power window switch and the front passenger's power window motor.
- Check for continuity between front passenger's power window motor 6P connector terminals No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 and body ground individually.Fig 2: Checking Continuity Between Front Passenger's Power Window Motor Connector Terminals No. 3, No. 5 And No. 6 And Body Ground

Is there continuity?
YES -Repair a short to ground in the wire.
NO -Replace the front passenger's power window switch (see FRONT PASSENGER'S POWER WINDOW SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
- Test the front passenger's power window motor hall IC (pulser) test (see Front Passenger's Power Window Motor Test ).
Is the motor OK?
YES -Replace the front passenger's power window switch (see Front Passenger's Power Window Switch Replacement ).
NO -Replace the front passenger's power window motor (see Front Power Window Motor Removal and Installation ).
