Shift Lock Stop/Shift Lock Stop Cushion Replacement

NOTE:

Refer to the SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY as needed during the following procedures.
Make sure not to get any silicone grease on the terminal part of the connectors and switches, especially if you have silicone grease on your hands or gloves.

Remove the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL ).
Disconnect the D3 switch connector (A), and remove the connector clip (B).

Remove the screws (A), and remove the shift lever knob assembly (B) from the shift lever.

Remove the A/T gear position indicator panel light socket (A) from the A/T gear position indicator panel (B), and remove the A/T gear position indicator panel.

Release the lock tabs (A) retaining the shift lock solenoid through the left shift lever mounting bracket using thin blade screwdrivers.

Remove the shift lock solenoid (A), the shift lock stop (B), the shift lock stop cushion (C), and the connector clamp (D).

Replace the shift lock stop and the shift lock stop cushion.
Apply silicone grease to joint of the shift lock solenoid plunger and the shift lock stop over the pin (A).

Apply silicone grease to the pin (B) of the shift lever bracket.
Install the shift lock solenoid (C), and install the connector clamp (D).
Install the A/T gear position indicator panel (A), and install the A/T gear position indicator panel light socket (B) in the A/T gear position indicator panel.

Apply silicone grease to the top of the shift lever rod (A), and secure the shift lever knob (B) with new screws (C).

Install the D3 switch connector clip (A), and connect the D3 switch connector (B).

Install the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER INSTALLATION ).
