Shift Lock Stop/Shift Lock Stop Cushion Replacement
NOTE:
- Refer to the SHIFT LEVER DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY as needed during the following procedures.
- Make sure not to get any silicone grease on the terminal part of the connectors and switches, especially if you have silicone grease on your hands or gloves.
- Remove the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL ).
- Disconnect the D3 switch connector (A), and remove the connector clip (B).
- Remove the screws (A), and remove the shift lever knob assembly (B) from the shift lever.
- Remove the A/T gear position indicator panel light socket (A) from the A/T gear position indicator panel (B), and remove the A/T gear position indicator panel.
- Release the lock tabs (A) retaining the shift lock solenoid through the left shift lever mounting bracket using thin blade screwdrivers.
- Remove the shift lock solenoid (A), the shift lock stop (B), the shift lock stop cushion (C), and the connector clamp (D).
- Replace the shift lock stop and the shift lock stop cushion.
- Apply silicone grease to joint of the shift lock solenoid plunger and the shift lock stop over the pin (A).
- Apply silicone grease to the pin (B) of the shift lever bracket.
- Install the shift lock solenoid (C), and install the connector clamp (D).
- Install the A/T gear position indicator panel (A), and install the A/T gear position indicator panel light socket (B) in the A/T gear position indicator panel.
- Apply silicone grease to the top of the shift lever rod (A), and secure the shift lever knob (B) with new screws (C).
- Install the D3 switch connector clip (A), and connect the D3 switch connector (B).
- Install the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER INSTALLATION ).
