DTC Advanced Diagnostics: P062F (308) (Generator Motor Control Module)
DTC P062F (308): Generator Motor Control Module EEPROM Error
General Description
The drive motor control module (DMCM) and the generator control module (GCM) in the motor control module store control data to each EEPROM. The DMCM or the GCM compares the data input to and read out from each EEPROM, and when the data does not match, the motor control module detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type
| Execution | Immediately after the vehicle condition is turned to the ON mode |

- Motor control module failure
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the motor control module memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL and the POWER SYSTEM indicator is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the POWER SYSTEM indicator, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the 12 volt battery.
