System Description: Cooling
Overview
The coolant system uses a liquid cooling pressure circulation type, which is a bottom bypass system with a thermostat located at the water inlet side.
Cooling Control Spacer
By inserting a resin spacer into the water jacket of the cylinder block, the water flow around the parts with high piston thrust force is
restrained (or slowed), which causes the temperature of the bore wall to increase. This extra heat causes the piston bore to expand
and reduces the friction of the piston sliding inside the bore. The reduced friction results in improved fuel efficiency.
